Core Values
All Christian churches share many of the same core values (Love of God, desire for community, care for others, etc). But, when a church like ours begins to form, certain values rise to the top and become a defining part of their identity. For us, that has been the following:
- Passion for God – For way too many Christians, church life has become a lifeless routine . . . something they just do because they’re Christian. We desire to be a people marked by an intense passion for Christ. We seek God boldly, with an expectation that He will show up. And when He does, we know that our lives are inevitably changed.
- A Willingness to Invest in Others – Church involvement is more than just “filling holes” or “finding a place to serve”. It is sharing life together, growing together, building each other up, and simply having fun together. Like any worthwhile relationship, this involves time, commitment, and a willingness to take risks – but the rewards of deep relationships are well worth it.
- Extreme Generosity – 50% of whatever is put in the offering plate, we are going to give away – using that money to serve others. Half of that will be put directly back into our local community or missions, while the other half will be set aside to start even more Christian churches and/or schools. We’re modeling as a church what we believe is true for every individual – the incredible rewards and focus that comes from giving ourselves away.
- Lives of Service – Closely connected to our value of generosity is the value of serving our fellow man. We look to Christ himself as the ultimate example of service, and seek to see the world through His eyes. Our desire is to reach the hurting, love those who are difficult to love, and impact the world by serving them the way Christ did. Our goal is not so much about "attracting people to our church," and more about bringing Christ to the world.
