We describe ourselves first and foremost as followers of Jesus Christ, and are made up of people with a variety of faith backgrounds. Many of our members were raised Baptist, Catholic, non-denominational, etc. Others came to faith here at LifeBridge, and this is the only church they have ever known. As a church, we are affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, a moderately conservative mainline church body that waa formed here in the U.S. in 1847, with roots that go back to the time of the Reformation in the early 1500's. Our basic belief can be summed up in what is called the Three Solas (Latin for "alone").
Grace alone - We are saved only by God's grace, won for us by Christ's death and resurrection.
Faith Alone - It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is made right.
Scripture alone - The Bible is the inpsired and inerrant word of God, and the only source and authority for our faith and doctrine.
The Father, creator of all that exists.
Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan.
The Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God’s Word and Sacraments.
The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.....
